粗略看了一遍，提出自己的看法，和大家探讨。
这篇文章的主要观点是IMS和现有Internet互联的问题。恰好我的project做的是类似内容，因此我看了大量的3G specification, especially r5/r6.

Generally speaking, the problems stated in the article could be mainly focued on IP address/QOS and signalling. In fact, 3gpp has very detailed solutions for all these problems. Furthermore, the 3gpp developed their specification gradually and continuously.

In my simulation, umts network could work extremely well with Internet, by changing into different scenario, as well as with different multimedia services.
At the same time, the 3g applications in Europe are working very well. It's the fact.

Hence, as a new technology, 3g is not mature enough as everyone. but the problems are not big enough to stop its real applications. In my opinion, how to promote its applications to real life is more important than its technical problems.

其实IMS是在R5里才提出来的技术，现阶段讨论的R99和R4的设备理论上不存在这个模块，但是运营商对于IMS提出了要求，所以属于提前进入的部分。以此论证3GR99或R4的不成熟，仿佛不是很合适。

如果标准出来了，前期真正投入力量研发的厂家出符合标准的设备应该很快。
